The Model 12’s have initially been introduced with switch mode power supplies. Due to reliability issues Jeff Rowland introduced a few years later an upgrade with “classic” linear power supplies. These upgraded power supplies also result in a better performance and are considered by insiders as a real “must”. These amps have received this upgrade.
